Pretty bad placing of neutral car service. But also please someone give Sagan asuper domestique, with even a single rider who can be with him when it matters he would have won a lot more this season!

Race information should be in english in every race in my opinion, unless is a local only coverage

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Saturday 12.Aug 17:10, 2017
And I'm very disappointed I see the race information in English. A race in Belgium and the Netherlands and they talk about ''head of the race'' and ''back of the peloton'', instead of Dutch or even French. Same crap as in the Giro.

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Saturday 12.Aug 17:06, 2017
Andy, I heard other weather forecasts for the weekend. And really, a week in August without rain is quite rare in the Benelux.

Well, I guess the century doesn't come easy .....

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Saturday 12.Aug 15:49, 2017

Sagan punctured from a likely stage win, and in the rain Wellens is on fire again. When I was looking at weather report for the weekend before I set my team it was reported no rain, so therefore I didn't chose him.

1000 ;)

sker [Team Paracarri] Friday 11.Aug 21:29, 2017
The next two stages we will see if Boom is really in good shape, he is one who can crack on those walls.
Tomorrow stage looks to me a likely reduced bunch sprint situation. We will probably have a similar situation with nobody willing to ride with Sagan (wich by the way makes sense only if you actually attack him, otherwise you just gifting someone else the stage and in the end sagan wins GC anyway)

English grammar has never been my favorite subject ;)

He got 100 CHF i think for it

BartVelo [BartVelo] Friday 11.Aug 20:32, 2017

on and off is I think the right use of words.

If he lits his fire, he's very well, but too often he's nowhere to be seen.

I remember EBH called him that in Fjords also after he had dirty tactics on the stage Roosen won, I look at Boom as a rider who is either on or off. Mostly been off the last couple of years, his last really great day was the cobbles stage in the Nibali Tour.

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Friday 11.Aug 20:01, 2017
What an idiot, Lars Boom. He has a proper result in a proper race for the first time in years, get a rightfully lot of criticism for his lack of performances and does this from frustration?

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Wednesday 9.Aug 16:44, 2017
Sagan took his 99th victory in his career. Vanmarcke crashed in the last km, but seems okay.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Tuesday 8.Aug 19:28, 2017
15th FC-manager overall
Benoot crashed just like many others who took risks in the turn.

sker [Team Paracarri] Tuesday 8.Aug 17:54, 2017
Well Sagan 10 seconds bonus yesterday basically counter the disavantage of the rain for a good bike handler like him.
There is no stage were to distance him easily, so the only way for anyone else to win this is to outsmat him tactically.

What happened to Benoot by the way? dead last seems strange

Aragonite [TORA TORA TORA] Tuesday 8.Aug 15:58, 2017

Triple J couldn't have been more right yesterday. DS's knew that the earlier starters would have a big advantage. You just have to look at how many of the obvious ITT favourites finished in yesterday's stage in the last ten places.

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Tuesday 8.Aug 15:41, 2017
Seriously, what kind of course is this?

goon1221 [BMC] Tuesday 8.Aug 15:36, 2017

Wow ... Gilbert swim in to only 24 sec behind .... impressive :)))

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Monday 7.Aug 21:18, 2017
Yes, except Sagan all favourites for tomorrow ended in the botom quarter.

johnjackjoe [JohnJackJoe Racing] Monday 7.Aug 20:43, 2017
The best thing about this stage is the GC riders trying to be as far back as possible wihtout losing seconds on the race leader. They are expecting rain tomorrow afternoon and they want to head out early^^

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Monday 7.Aug 17:18, 2017
As that shirt is one plain colour, it's not that bad.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Monday 7.Aug 16:59, 2017

Nothing is worse than the salmon jersey in Norwegian races

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Monday 7.Aug 16:55, 2017
This race is competing for the ugliest leaders jerseys of the year award. Points jersey is a printed page from some comics book, the one for the breakaway black with one dark green sleeve.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Monday 7.Aug 16:34, 2017

New day, new photo finish. This one was it no doubt about however with the lines on the photo finish.

Koronin [Koronin] Sunday 6.Aug 21:06, 2017
There is also a difference in how a 1 day race and a stage race are raced. Valverde explained this once. With a one day race you must put everything you have on the line because there is not a tomorrow to make up for a mistake. If you have anything left at the end of a one day race you didn't race it hard enough. A stage race you can't put everything into one day because you have make sure you have enough left for the next stage.

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Sunday 6.Aug 13:00, 2017
I don't what it got to do with the existence of the spring classics. A stage of 200 km in a stage race is not the same as an one day classic of 250 km in different parts of the season. There are so many cobblestone/hilly on day races and these stages in stage races, with a lot of overlap in climbs.

There's even a lot of double climbing within these classics. Except Roubaix, all cobblestone classics are ridden in the same small section of Belgium, with several climbs and sections used multiple times within a matter of weeks. In 2014, La Fleche Wallone started in Bastogne, the place in Liege-Bastogne-Liege where they turn around to head back for Liege.

And who says it should be the exactly same climbs? Same terrain doesn't mean same hills. There are probably a bunch of steep hills left in the Ardennes not used for other major races. And even when they use the same climbs from the spring classics, so what. These races are between February and April, while it's now August. 4-6 months difference.

I have some pretty clear thought about the potential in the terrain, classics, stage race etc. ....
But that claims alot of english writing, and for a dysletic non english speaking lazy cycling fan :D thats alot pf effort .... well, ok .... the ball part must be something like this ...... it would be wierd if a stage race should use all the potential a spring classic have .... where does that leave the classics ? And do you realize how hard a classic race realy is ? .... theres a reason they come with days apart :D ..... Here we got some flats, probly with some cross wind ... a short time trail, building up to some hilly actionpacked ( becaus the riders are reasonable fresh after a not so hard race ) stages and a great final in Geraardsbergen. ... so unless Wellens destoy this thing on a rainy day :D ... there will be exitement till the bitter end here :)))

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Saturday 5.Aug 18:50, 2017
Ah yes, the profiles where any stage looks like the queens stage in the Tour.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Saturday 5.Aug 15:16, 2017
15th FC-manager overall
That is my problem with this race also. Doesn't use the terrain it can use. Stage 6 and 7 looks great, but it can't be the stage race of the year, when parcours of first 5 is not really good, unless it comes crosswinds on them, no idea if that is likely or not. But then again, difficult to know when organizers still has to publish profiles of the stages.

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Saturday 5.Aug 15:06, 2017
Problem with this race is that they don't take out everything out of the potential with the spring classics courses. I really like these so called ''walls'' (Huy etc) and other extremely hilly races, more than cobbestones or mountains (especially in the Tour), but the course of over these years, even these so called hill stages end up in bunch spurts.

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Saturday 5.Aug 11:18, 2017

Well mountains can be exciting sometimes. Take out a certain death train for instance :)

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 5.Aug 11:03, 2017
19th FC-manager overall
Well, Assassin i guess we're all different .... some like predictable, loong, slow, sat in advance, nothing todo with boring things, like you and Andy, .... and some like open, fast, actionpacked, alot of opportuneties no deadend things, like me and my likeminded ... :)))

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 5.Aug 10:46, 2017
19th FC-manager overall
Yeah, that was fun once, but after destroying Polen last year, i was done with that :D

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Saturday 5.Aug 10:45, 2017
5th FC-manager overall
Agree with Andy on parcours as i'm more of a mountains person. But Polanc is here so the race is better than usual :)

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Saturday 5.Aug 10:44, 2017

I wouldn't mind a rainman Wellens win :)

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 5.Aug 10:36, 2017
19th FC-manager overall
And for gods sakes, let's hope for warm and nice weather so that Wellens can't destoy the exitement with a long insane break nobody even cares to catch up with :D

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 5.Aug 10:11, 2017
19th FC-manager overall
The one week race of the year imo. .... Andy think this is a boring parcours ..... and yeah, sure, this is not for the stereotype 160 cm 60 kg guys .... here you need some meat on your bones and a quick mind .... it wont help you much with a 10 km 10% climb in the end, automatically stoping anyone over 75 kg :D .... never the less, still a very versatile parcours for both CLASSICS, sprinters, punchures and timetrailists. ... this is something i always looking forward to each year ..... too bad no norwegians are present ..... would like to see an inshape EBH on a course like this :)))

New name, but still the same lack of information.
