Think he must have done. Don't really get a proper communique here with the results so I couldn't see an explanation for it so I guess it must be that.

Aragonite [TORA TORA TORA] Sunday 3.Feb 00:25, 2019
Looks as if Sevilla must of crashed inside the final 3k.

Aragonite [TORA TORA TORA] Saturday 2.Feb 23:43, 2019
Shakes up the GC a little also.

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Saturday 2.Feb 23:35, 2019
Wow that was some stage

Koronin [Koronin] Friday 1.Feb 16:36, 2019
My opinion is that the PR Dept of the team wrote the apology not Pat. I agree that the sponsors are the reason for the apology. Hopefully that means Pat stops putting his foot in his mouth on this incident.

Old Pat pressured into giving a "sincere" apology by the sponsors:

sker [Team Paracarri] Friday 1.Feb 05:30, 2019
I think they did that beacuse the DSQ is a political one as this is a political sponsored race. They tried to boss around a small race, but that came out very wrong to the pubblic and sends the wrong message in my opinion.

Koronin [Koronin] Friday 1.Feb 01:49, 2019
I'm of the opinion there are a bunch of us fans who could have done a better PR job they have done. Although I think Lefevere is a big part of the PR problem in this case.

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Thursday 31.Jan 22:59, 2019
Still time for that :D

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Thursday 31.Jan 22:54, 2019
I still haven't managed to get full twitter community getting mad on me :D

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Thursday 31.Jan 22:53, 2019
Hiring you would only make it worse :D

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Thursday 31.Jan 22:51, 2019
If they only had seen my PR job for my season fantasy team, I would be hired tonight.

Koronin [Koronin] Thursday 31.Jan 21:45, 2019
DQS needs to learn PR better than what they are currently doing. DQS's reaction has really turned what should have been a mole hill into a mountain.

The "joke" was not appropriate in anyway and he should have been penalized for it. Same as Sagan should have been penalized for what he did a few years. (The incident that led to the podium girl debate and the dropping of podium girls by some races).

sker [Team Paracarri] Thursday 31.Jan 19:58, 2019
I think sexual harassment is a serious issue and blowing this case out of proportion it's just disrespectful to the ones that are real victims of it.
His joke was of bad taste and I agree, he should have apologized sooner probably but that is about it. Charges by the police are just ridicoulus and even the race DSQ seems a little too much. Probably the political sponsor of the race wanted to avoid to be ties in any way to a scandal.
I also think the PR reaction of QS is bad, I mean once it's done use this occasion to sensibilize people on the issue and the take the high moral road

I'm slightly worried about Iljo's taste of humor here. This lines up well with Terpstra's joke few years ago about Colombian riders and how it's their fault that the airport security check is taking so long *winkwink

This duo must've been dropping killer jokes at the team bus.

johnjackjoe [JohnJackJoe Racing] Thursday 31.Jan 17:47, 2019
Have I defended Ronaldo? I'd like to see Ronaldo persecuted. His lawyers communication seems pretty bad.

I'm not saying what Keisse did is the worst and he should be punished further, but giving him a time out to think about his action seems reasonable.

And I'm happy about the change. I don't want to live in society in which this behaviour is applauded. I have problems with a lot of the #metoo reactions without proof, but in this case it's right there. Not how a professional and idol should behave.

Erythropoietin [Erythropoietin] Thursday 31.Jan 17:37, 2019
14th FC-manager overall - 14th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Overreaction because it's not a huge offense. It seems likely that Cristiano Ronaldo is guilty of rape, but you don't see him getting banned from playing football matches. What did Keisse do? A poor-taste gesture that to many people is just "funny". All I have seen from Keisse afterwards is this apology: https://twitter.com/IljoKeisse/status/1090307539567284225
Strange that you haven't noticed a cultural change the last few years, and especially since late 2017. If this picture had been taken 15 years ago, I don't think "anyone" would have cared. His "offense" doesn't really have anything to do with the bike race, and the punishment is just very disproportionate. But for PR purposes it makes sense, I guess... Remco and Julian to dominate the Bongo next year!

johnjackjoe [JohnJackJoe Racing] Thursday 31.Jan 17:26, 2019
Why overreaction? He didn't seem apologetic at all. Punishment is fitting and QS reaction is unprofessional. You don't behave like that. It has nothing to do with feminism.

The fact that she started sharing the picture instead of keeping it private and only for the police investigation says something as well, but that has no impact on how to behave and how a pro organisation should handle something like that.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Thursday 31.Jan 17:17, 2019
He would probably not be thrown out if he had came with a fast apology, and for me it seems like QS has made the case worse than it originally was. They understood too late that the many thought this was poor behavior and their crisis management just made it worse.

Erythropoietin [Erythropoietin] Thursday 31.Jan 17:10, 2019
14th FC-manager overall - 14th FC-manager last 6 weeks
The point is that it's a big overreaction. Thrown out of the race, seriously?
Feminism in 2020: Podium girls no longer allowed because it's hetero-normative and the riders should no longer be peer-pressured into giving passive consent for this patriarchal tradition where women are presented as trophies.

johnjackjoe [JohnJackJoe Racing] Thursday 31.Jan 14:30, 2019
QS handling the Situation like PR noobs. And Lefevere piling on in a stupid interview.
Just take Keisse out, take the highroad and look good in a bad situation. Their behaviour and actions after are just stupid.

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Thursday 31.Jan 13:36, 2019
The problem is that this tired excuse came a day before the restday, which is today.

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Wednesday 30.Jan 22:27, 2019
Pretty lol situation there with QS. I mean I get the anger because i wouldn't have DSQ'd Keisse but well no need to prolong it with "tired" excuse for not attending ceremony. Simple thing to me is ride it out and don't come back next year. Send Alap and the gang to the Bongo instead :D

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Wednesday 30.Jan 22:23, 2019
San Juan is not far from desert ;)
QS trying to get popular in Argentina I see with skipping podium ceremony, normally some CHF in fine for that.

Let's give him a couple of desert races first :))

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Wednesday 30.Jan 21:03, 2019
Can we now clearly say it's over for Cav? In a sprint stage with all other sprinters in the bunch he lost 7:43.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Wednesday 30.Jan 19:29, 2019
Always great with river in the road!

Aragonite [TORA TORA TORA] Tuesday 29.Jan 23:35, 2019

I read on Deceuninck QS' homepage that Iljo Keisse was to be Remco's mentor in his first race for the team. Keisse started off strong by being reported to the police for #metoo'ing a waitress while she took a photo with the pack. A milder offense than Sagan on the RVV 2013 podium though, or the infamous Lars Berger gesture.

Partykjeppen [Il Piccolo Gregari] Monday 28.Jan 20:38, 2019
Patience, my friend :)

Aragonite [TORA TORA TORA] Monday 28.Jan 18:50, 2019
This Punta Negra stage on reflection was my best performance of the whole of last season. Had the first three home, Villalobos, Escuela, Benoot, plus Sevilla in fifth. Only a couple of managers out of a hundred and sixty eight selected Villalobos. Could do with something similar after my shit start to the year. :)

MiguelSimoes 35 [Pro Cycling Team 35] Monday 28.Jan 17:10, 2019
Makes sense but still a little weird

Assassin [Troy The Trader] Monday 28.Jan 16:52, 2019
There were echelons with about 80k to go. Might have been caught then and never recovered

MiguelSimoes 35 [Pro Cycling Team 35] Monday 28.Jan 15:53, 2019
How someone could lose 25-30' in a flat stage?? If they have crashed, ok, understandable, if not... Its weird

Looks like great fun today ... and some of the best in the world in this kind of terrain .... the first ( for me at least) puncheur battle of the season :))

No idea why..

johnjackjoe [JohnJackJoe Racing] Monday 28.Jan 11:28, 2019
He should look good tomorrow, but yeah. Stage 1 was disappointing

Partykjeppen [Il Piccolo Gregari] Monday 28.Jan 09:34, 2019
Barbero proving a proper donkey pick for now.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Monday 28.Jan 00:06, 2019
According to the rumours, Mørkøv stole the leadout show in Cadels tonight, and even QS can't get it right each time.

Kazakh commentators there? :D

johnjackjoe [JohnJackJoe Racing] Sunday 27.Jan 19:38, 2019
Hodeg or Richeze/bennett or sagan. hmmm

Francisco [K92-Team Neverland] Sunday 27.Jan 19:03, 2019
First race live since October. Or it was September?

Partykjeppen [Il Piccolo Gregari] Sunday 27.Jan 01:22, 2019
Although I like to watch pre-season racing (hello Omloop Het Nieuwsblad), the fact that this is on Eurosport now makes it harder for the participants to push Dani Diaz to another win :(
