The organizers will probably think twice about inviting Cannondale back, Formolo was in contention after all, certainly for a podium spot anyway, Very poor behaviour imo. Not sure if BMC removed Caruso for the same reason as Cannondale, He could of crashed previous day, or was ill, don't know.

Top 5 ... 7th 10th and 19th best points pickers on my team ..... in most games thats a top 6 selection of riders .... but here it holds a 41st :D Wow .... a quality game there ... gratz to the top guys here ... well done :)))
goon1221 [BMC] Friday 21.Apr 16:15, 2017
Absolutly. .. I put him on 80% .... and he deserved even better :))) when he crashed the horrible crash in 2015 he was close to the best climber in the world, so I guess if he finds back to something close to that, he'll be high in the Giro :))) too bad he is a mess on the TT bike :D he looks like it don't fit some how :D
Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Friday 21.Apr 15:58, 2017
Think one of the reason for this is that Trentino has been 4-days race earlier, and now this year is 5-days. I don't agree in the decisions for those who didn't start, but just trying to find a reason for it. Nobody of these will do good in LBL, but most of them valuable domestiques for their captains, but just look at Pozzovivo, he finish Trentino and will do well in LBL on Sunday, maybe new top 10 upcoming.

Ilnur is one of the 2 missing, the other one is of course Bob. I expect him to improve from last year, his biggest issue is actually that it's a very early mountain stage this year, he is best in the third week relatively to the others.
Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Thursday 20.Apr 14:02, 2017
You forget 2 important contenders there goon! I think you will manage to guess at least one of them.
For me it looked like Landa had won yesterday if he had wanted. And Thomas is doing like Porte did when he won Trentino and then abandoned the Giro, think that will happened to Thomas also.
goon1221 [BMC] Thursday 20.Apr 13:45, 2017
The Giro looks really difficult to set team for this year ... I don't like it one bit .... so many strong point pickers must be left out of any team .... Yates' .. both or non ? Pozzovivo becaus of the amonth of TT km ? ... Landa or Thomas ... Who will be best ... Quintana will most likely win, or at least must be concider as favourite one ... Nibali, Kruijswijk, Pinot or the SKY guys ... Who will podium ... Mollema, Tom Dumoulin or what about the BMC guys ... sprinters ... how many can take gc places .... WOW .... alot of questions for this one :D
Francisco [K92-União Ciclista] Thursday 20.Apr 10:44, 2017
Yes, LosBrolin, and that will be a good question to managers here, i guess... regarding this season until yesterday i hadn't any doubt about who to pick from Sky. Not so sure anymore... as you say Thomas will probably crack somewhre in the mountains and Landa will need to be the strongest he can in 73 km of TT...
LosBrolin [JuhaMieto] Thursday 20.Apr 07:29, 2017
He did looked way better yesterday and seems to be coming in to a some form. That's actually interesting Giro-wise, SKY have a tough call to make over there. Geraint (who should be animating/dominating classics) will most likely bonk on that mountain loaded last week and at that point Landa shouldn't have lost too much time. That would mean that he has to do TT of his life at Montefalco -stage.
sker [Team Paracarri] Thursday 20.Apr 03:08, 2017
I think Landa could actually win it, Thomas was suffering in the last few meters but he also had to came across the gap and re accellerate. Anyway Thomas had to be the winner beacuse of the bonus seconds
Francisco [K92-União Ciclista] Wednesday 19.Apr 10:25, 2017
Jspear, fair enough...:) i would think the same if it was with one of my team mates.. :)
Thanks Assassin and Aragonite, it was i nice surprise this stage victory. About overall a lot to ride yet... :)
Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Tuesday 18.Apr 23:10, 2017
I have already forget the game. But to be honest, I expected today's stage also to be cancelled, and are positively surprised it wasn't. Thursday is also in danger if the forecast is correct.
Aragonite [TORA TORA TORA] Tuesday 18.Apr 22:59, 2017
Cancellation would be the nightmare scenario with regards this game. Would probably confirm myself, and yourself Andy, to a finishing position in the 100's.
Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Tuesday 18.Apr 22:47, 2017
They need to more change on the route tomorrow, can't see the other mountain pass still be in the race. Not surprised if the whole stage will be cancelled.
goon1221 [BMC] Monday 17.Apr 17:04, 2017
Ok ... thanks .... I read an interview, and it was either top or drop after that :D you never know with this guy .... he has been sick and out of shape ahead of this race before, and won it :D ... glad i picked Thomas as wize then :)))
Erythropoietin [Erythropoietin] Monday 17.Apr 15:35, 2017
Scarponi! Damn, I dropped him because I thought he was too much of a diesel engine to score a lot of stage points. Good for my season fantasy team though.
Assassin [TheTrueAssassins] Friday 14.Apr 11:03, 2017
Not really Nathan, this is one for the mountain lads. I've left the link for the website if you want to have a further look.
Francisco [K92-União Ciclista] Friday 14.Apr 10:49, 2017
We must start to see this race not as an italian race but an austrian/italian race...
I guess the name's change was an austrian "suggestion".. :)
goon1221 [BMC] Friday 14.Apr 09:40, 2017
At first glance, it's quit easy to pick 9 guys, but to put them in order :D an impossible event :D
Yeah ... Lowlands tour :D .... wow ..... talk about all time LOWland .... ENECO was a bauta on the sceduel, and in my mind so was Giro del Trentino .... what the fuck is happening with this sport ??
sker [Team Paracarri] Friday 14.Apr 05:35, 2017
Yeah the new name sucks, but usually an english name is more appealing for sponsors (in particular the ones who don't know anything at all about cycling).
It's also worth mentioning that even if lots of word tour teams are present here the race is part of the italian Ciclismo Cup that decide a wild card for next year Giro. So Androni, Bardiani; Nippo and Wilier riders will be extra motivated
Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Thursday 13.Apr 23:52, 2017
Ah, it's Trentino. I thought it was some new race. And yet another Italian race Englified. The Giro and the other RCS races nowadays have those English names (head of the race, last km) instead of Italian. It just doesn't fit.
Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Thursday 13.Apr 23:24, 2017
Nice to see Bernal with star, but not Geraint Thomas :) So the teams already entered clearly knows cycling. And more thing, I still don't understand why the race has been re-named, Giro del Trentino sounds much better for an Italian race than Tour of the Alps.
