The racism was bad and it was a silly mistake from him. I'm not going to use it as an excuse, but he is a farmer boy so it doesn't surprise me.
But it just strikes me as a little odd that it's FDJ again where the problem is. Whilst you can argue Moscon is just out to get FDJ, I can't think of any reason of why he would just go for Reichenbach. I don't buy the revenge theory, they rode Giro Dell'Emilia together with no problem. He's too talented to just throw under the bus and i can forgive his attitude because on the bike he is a very entertaining rider and is destined for much bigger things. At the end of the day, for me, i'm not here to judge his views, i'm here to judge his performances. Others may see it differently, fair enough, but for me, i'm not interested in his personal views.

I agree that Moscon's racist abuse is inexcusable. He also got off too lightly. I think it quite doubtful that Reichenbach is fabricating about Moscon's pushing him into a crash. Incredibly talented rider; I just am not sure about his attitude. With this last incident, which is disturbing, I think Sky would have had a more severe reaction and would have been more punitive to a less talented rider.

Moscon seems like a hotspur. The racial abuse put him at the bottom of the riderpool in my eyes. Something like that doesn't just slip out, unless you use those kind of words in your everyday life. The sticky bottle wasn't actually that bad, but the situation in which it happened it was pretty stupid.
Now the Reichenbach accusations are really bad, but until there is a court case and until other riders actually making a corroborating statement I won't judge. Saying french teams are having a problem with Sky sounds like a little kid that's just thrashing out and grasping at any argument that comes to his mind. I won't make an opinion about this accusation until there is more information from third parties (i.e. witness riders).
That said Moscon is super talented, but I don't give a shit how talented a rider is if he behaves like a racist.

Moscon is a young guy, not used to PR and surely have a temper and is competitive. He reminds me a little of a young Sagan, but I don't think is a bad person.
Now the racial insul thing was bad and rightly sactioned, the towing at the words understandable but penalisazion was the right choice. This thing with FDJ is more obscure and backed with no evidence for now

I will defend Gianni because of his talent and no surprise the French hate Sky considering the displays of the great French lack of affection for them in the Tour every year :D Whilst i'm no Sky fan boy, Gianni is a talented lad and if French teams are making all this up then it's a real shame.
sker [Team Paracarri] Saturday 7.Oct 20:20, 2017
In post race interviews Moscon have said that french team have a problem with Sky and they are using every occasion to attack the team.
This time nothing wrong happened at all in the sprint.
I really don't know what to think of Moscon right now, but Richenbach claim is not supported by evidence for the moment

After that crash I have similar trepidations as when Thomas came off and hit a sign post head first in one of the GT's. Lets just prayer this outcome is the same as that one was.

I kind of want to go a bit adventurous with dudes like Roglic, Albasini, Gallopin, Villella, Calmejane and similar riders - but this race always seems to be decided by a group of the top-level captains.

Official start list added. Most significant change was that Dayer got xx1 for Movistar instead of Nairo. Expecting him to be captain then.

Waiting for Sylvanm to weigh in with weather forecast - hope for the biblical rain from 3-4 years back, only that the transmission doesn't cut this time.

The next and this seasons last big thing in this beautiful sport, is Il Lombardia. .. the classic of the dead leaves ..... It will run on the 2015 rout .... Nibali with another reason to put a big smile on his face, as he has good memories from that peticular race .... I guess he is okey from his rib injury from vuelta, concidering his performance in giro della Toscana yesterday ...
