One last wish for this race:
I hope both, Gaudin and Gonçalves can perform well, today,

This afternoon, it's my daughter anniversary party where i hope i will smile a lot and i hope i can do the same when returning home and watching the TT results...:)

Nocentini said each time they tryied to get closer to the front, Amaro and Raul increased the gap. The italian say both have WT legs.
I guess the only chance to FC Porto keep them is to get Pro Conti license and even so i doubt a bit...:(

Veloso had a bad day, he said. With his teammates so strong and attacking in the front he just "stop" racing in a truly act of team spirit.

I just feel sad for Toni (António Carvalho). If he hadn't wait for Gustavo for a while we would have been in the front line, for sure. The power he lost to return to Nocentini/De Mateos group killed his chances to make podium...

The stage wasn't a surprise, really, the gap was a bit.
Sporting could have had a word to say if Brandão were there and with Frederico, too.
Edgar Pinto with Cesar Fonte helping him plus one or two team mates would have been a strong competitor, too.

Marque and Paulinho, no surprises. Srª da Graça and Torre are too much for them, now.
João Benta, also, well when climbing but, probably, losing considerable ground today!

Very nice surprise from the Baltic...:)
Fair victory to our manager competitor! :)

Not the best option to skip Alcoron here.

Veloso finished on 41 minutes...

Veloso and Vinhas still not finished, they will be losing over 31 minutes

unreal stage

Only 18 have finished inside 16 mins behind Alarcon and Antunes :)

That stage was epic

LosBrolin [JuhaMieto] Saturday 12.Aug 08:26, 2017

He was a no brainer pick last year already

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Friday 11.Aug 21:36, 2017

For me it was a combination of top 10 GC and good stage results upcoming, just look at last year, barely outside top 10 on stages. He rarely wins, but he score points on each stage and that is a lot on 11 stages compared to a pure climber who can do good GC, but not that many stage points.

sker [Team Paracarri] Friday 11.Aug 21:34, 2017
Why so many of you guys picked up Mateos here?
It is a good choice, but it's previous results where not so impressive to me so I passed on him

You're welcome sker. My pleasure to give someone a chance to watch our "Giro"... :)

Today's stage has a bit of Strade Bianche,, close to the finnish, in a place where the Rally WT also compete!

Logreid [JohnGadretPartykjepp] Thursday 10.Aug 09:04, 2017
Super impressed by Krists' climbing. Unexpected, but it would seem he's in peak condition right now. Very handy in sprints from reduced groups after hilly terrain like Trentin. Hope to see him have leadership in more races next year

Given the pace W52 rode the final climb yesterday it's very impressive to see Neilands just slightly missing out from the podium. I considered him more as a future classics talent but if he manages to hang on behind the W52 train I think it's pretty safe to say that there's some talent for climbing as well.

LosBrolin [JuhaMieto] Tuesday 8.Aug 21:26, 2017

Alarcon :D

6.7 w/kg and smashed Veloso's last year climbing record. What a show.

sker [Team Paracarri] Tuesday 8.Aug 20:05, 2017
Thanks to Francisco for the link, I enjoyed the race today.

Not so sure of the chance of a podium all W52 because somebody needs to work for the others. Race is not over: Nocentini looks in good form and other guys are still way too close.
Alarcon is only at 80% on my team, I have Pinto too and I have no idea why I thought taking Bibby was a good idea:D

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Tuesday 8.Aug 19:49, 2017
22th FC-manager overall
Great to see somebody who fails this even more than me. Pinto and Figueiredo on 100 costs me any chance of win here. Triple W52-podium seems still likely, Antunes and Alarcon still needs more time on Veloso before the time trial, even though Alarcon only lost 47 sec last year.

Logreid [JohnGadretPartykjepp] Tuesday 8.Aug 19:44, 2017
Idiot of the year here: Had Alarcon as one of two vice-captains, but managed to replace him without noticing. Goodbye all hopes of finishing even in top 3/4. #IdiotKjeppen

Edgar Pinto is out of the race, due to his crash, yesterday...
One of the main contenders and my man to Top5...:(

P.S. Hope someone his following the race by the link i posted.
Today is a relatively calm stage (well, last year Vinhas won the yellow and the race here..)
Tomorrow we have Srª da Graça and from there several good stages!

I worked hard with this team for ones, and most of the job was to find a reason to reduce W52 guys on my team :D

Viktor, we do have another one: Rui Sousa with 41 years.
He didn't have an internacional carreer but he could have been a good mountain domestique to some good names in the business...:)

Not that they don't have value to be there BUT a lot to work until Viseu...;)

Biggest question is how many W52-SKY will be on top 10 when the race is done. I'm guessing 6.

Viktor86 [Le Tour de Brabant] Thursday 3.Aug 23:26, 2017
Rebellin makes his debut. Schumacher, Nocentini and Paulinho as other notably oldies here.

Official start list added. Joao Almeida and Brenton Jones out, none of them star, but expect them to be selected of some managers.

Arctic. They even gave the winner of a intermediate sprint a building plot one year. Don't think the winner accepted it, since he had to pay the building, only got the plot. Some crazy prizes there, good for local people, but everybody doesn't understand it.

Smaller races each has their own cool thing. For Portugal it's the TV-production(?) music, never forget San Luis and their still shots from random part of the mountain bush when winning attack was ongoing. Tro-Bro Leon where top placed Breton receives a pig etc

But the best from all has to be Tour of Gila live stream which is still alive and kicking three months after the race. This kind of reality-TV is hard to beat, from time to times I've been checking the streets of Silver City with Assassin about possible suspicious behaviour but this far we haven't spotted any. I hope they ride this street on next years edition :D
