Strong, strong performence by Pinot. This guy had a unforgetable week in Italy this autumn and well deserved, btw... :)
sker, i've noticed that too about Vicenzo and i thought the same. Later, just before the last climb he asked the motorbike for a drink and we could see how he reacted...
Anyway, Vicenzo is incredible and he STILL could run away from the chasing group in the final 2 km, wich was remarkable, i think. Trully, a champion, this guy!

Well deserved win for Pinot. He was in the best form ever while Nibali was at best at 90% (he also dropped a crucial water bottle that forced him to ride the last 25 km waterless).
Anyway longer races always favor the real condition, not much room for tactics

Koronin [Koronin] Saturday 13.Oct 23:36, 2018
Congrats to Pinot on a very nice win. Looks like Nibali is more or less recovered and should be fine for next season.

Some reporter asked Valverde is he was disappointed with finishing 11th today. His response was basically, how can I be disappointed after the great season I've had this year and with the rainbow bands on my chest. Then said the only way he'd have been disappointing would have been to crash and have to DNF.

Great ride by Tibo. Clearly the strongest today.

@Partykjeppen My results are pretty inconsistent all year long, so I pretty much just take my own way in the manager. Just noticed Aru was only picked twice and you were the other person to have him, that's all.

Must be pretty dodgy conditions, otherwise would of thought Nibali would ride away from the field on that downhill, particularly Pinot.

The shark is looking hungry. :)

Partykjeppen [Il Piccolo Gregari] Saturday 13.Oct 14:52, 2018
I fell so far off the pace in the GC in the manager competition that I've only been playing longshots the last two months, so that's not necessarily a good sign, VIktor :)

He looked like he blew on the first ascent in the Superga in Milano-Torino, but when he doesn't have the legs (which is increasingly often) he just puts on #AruFace and grinds his way to the best position possible. So I'd it's equally likely he'll finish around 30th as around 6th today.

I would of taken Aru but couldn't see his name on the startlist. Trip to the optician's booked. :)

We are the only two with faith in Aru it seems.

Vai the Italian trifecta of Villela, Formolo and Aru!

Just in case anyone is interested. Valverde got his new custom painted bike today to race Lombardia with. Doubt it will make any difference to the actual race, but he does have a new bike to go with the rainbow kit.

Yeah ... i thought about it... he was rather disappointing in the world's and Torino is pretty easy all day so ... maybe he's not in that shape it looked like .... with the worlds highest top climbing level, Torino was probably perfect at the time for him ... I don't know ... his abstent made me jump a little bit anyway :D

maybe problems with longer races or something like that? Last time he won Milano-Torino he DNF'd Lombardia. But yeah, I would still pick him instead of Stalnov :D

EF sends Modolo to Lombardia instead of that Tcx Pro Classic here on a flat course. Makes sense

goon1221 [Jinx.inc] Friday 12.Oct 17:22, 2018
Why Astana don't take advantage of Lopez's obvious monster form in Torino ( should have won ? ) ... is pretty hard to understand ....

goon1221 [Jinx.inc] Friday 12.Oct 17:21, 2018
If Lopez was on place here, i probably would have him captain ...

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Friday 12.Oct 17:18, 2018
Can I do the achievement of not having a single monument winner on my team this season? I think I can! Anyway, official startlist added
