Pretty much whole Team Sunweb were on fire yesterday. SKA and Oomen brought back numerous attacks and Matthews himself rode like a beast - he was constantly very close to the front and surfed the right wheels just before the last right-hander. Then finished it off with a very strong sprint. I find it bit weird that he was not selected for the Worlds. Course is hard I get that, but in-form Matthews would've been at least a decent helper for Porte if nothing more. Have to admit that I like how versatile Bling is these days ; Time trials well, easily one of the best climbers from the faster guys and in the future might become a threat at the cobbled classics as well.

Maybe drop Porte out of Australia's world's team, and in with Matthews ..... I'm just saying :D
