Thanks. There is actually one that was written last year and published last Spring. It was written by a Spanish journalist who has covered him his entire pro career. Alejandro was involved with it to make sure it was accurate and then when it was ready to go on sale Alejandro mentioned it and said it was written with his blessing. Unfortunately it's only in Spanish so I have to read it using Google Translate. The name of the biography is: Alejandro Valverde la leyenda del Imbatido It was written by Jon Rivas. Also some nice pictures in it, including one of him in his trophy room. (Of course he also has trophies scattered around the rest of his house including his garage.)

You have got to start thinking about writing his biography Koronin. :)

One more interesting piece of information from yesterday. Valverde set another record yesterday just by finishing on the podium. He now has the record for most ever podiums in the Ardennes with 17.

Here's Valverde's time's on the Mur de Huy:
Alejandro Valverde's climbing times on Mur de Huy:
2018: 2:52
2017: 2:53
2016: 2:52
2015: 2:53
2014: 2:41 (ALL-TIME RECORD)
2006: 2:51

Alaphilippe's today was 2:48

Koronin [Koronin] Wednesday 18.Apr 19:17, 2018
Someone posted his time for the final climb up the Mur in comparison to his other winning times and it was on par with only 2014's all-time record being faster. Alaphilippe just climbed it close to his all-time record. He had the same time as all of his other winning climbs up the Mur de Huy.

I notice Vanendert in AGR... and was tempted to put him on my team ... oh well :D he is really back these days :))

johnjackjoe [JohnJackJoe Racing] Wednesday 18.Apr 16:27, 2018
Valverde only second. Maybe he is getting old after all :D

goon1221 [] Wednesday 18.Apr 15:55, 2018
51 sec now .... wow ... Nibali ... who would know :D

goon1221 [] Wednesday 18.Apr 15:54, 2018
Nibali with a 30 sec headstart in de Huy should be interesting....

Never been higher than third. Is it gold for first? Silver for second? Or are they all red?

Aragonite [TORA TORA TORA] Wednesday 18.Apr 15:04, 2018
Certainly not going to be. It is a marathon though not a sprint..

LosBrolin [JuhaMieto] Wednesday 18.Apr 14:54, 2018
I think it's gonna be triple-J who'll loan the star next, Aragonite. Giro will be very decisive GC-wise, as always..

Had the starter. This should be a tasty main course.

Koronin [Koronin] Wednesday 18.Apr 01:05, 2018
Apparently Nibali said after Amstel he didn't have the legs in that race. My guess is he won't do anything here and try to be ready for LBL.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Wednesday 18.Apr 00:29, 2018
Yeah, this was hard goon. Found a team I kinda trust and think is ok, but hard to be satisfied with so many questions marks here.

Startlist Final

Koronin [Koronin] Tuesday 17.Apr 18:39, 2018
Apparently Dan Martin said in an interview today he wants a sprint finish with Valverde at the end. Rather he's got any form or not, no idea. But this leads me to believe he'll have his team help Movistar ensure we get the same finish we've had the last several years. Thus meaning a high likelihood Valverde gets 5 in a row. Alaphilippe wants the same thing, however we know they will send other riders up the road if they can.

goon1221 [] Tuesday 17.Apr 11:00, 2018
My most doubtful Fleche setup in a couple of years ... with doubts and distrust among normally reliable riders on a finish like this ... Henao, Albasini and even Dan Martin .. not to mention Kwiato .... I find it a bit difficult to find the " good Fleche feeling " this time ....
Opens up for some outsiders though ... maybe a couple of attackers from a little further out .... Fuglsang and Kreuziger for example .... Barguil, Bardet even... or what about Nibali ? ... or will he save it for Sunday... :D ... I guess :))
