Weirather and Goggia is also in it ... exiting stuff in Are :))

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Friday 9.Mar 15:30, 2018
Vlhova likely to pass them both tomorrow though. But Mowinckel has a very good chance of podium the overall cup with 3 good races next week

Sure ... for Mowinckel to win her first is great... but what i really like about this win is, both Rebensburg and Shiffrin did flawless runs, and both are in good shape .... that sais more than just the win :)) Mowinckel soon to be podium in the total standing as well ... 4th now 32 points behind Rebensburg on 3rd ...

I guess Løseth had a little pep talk with Mowinckel during the brake :D ... very nice second run

goon1221 [BMC] Friday 9.Mar 11:47, 2018
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
The difference between the way Mowinckel and Løseth attack the course is obvious ....

Don't jinx it Andy :D .... but yeah... she is definitely good for it :))

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Friday 9.Mar 11:36, 2018
First win to Mowinckel coming today goon?

Wow.... what the hell is Hirscher doing here ... making fun of everybody :D

Tomas [Second Coming] Tuesday 30.Jan 09:58, 2018
I'm so bringing Innerhofer into my team for the Olympics :)

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 27.Jan 13:30, 2018

Innerhofer 1.15 behind on his hip :D .... would have won easy without that of course.... he love this insane dark hell :D

Partykjeppen [Il Piccolo Partykjepps] Saturday 27.Jan 13:17, 2018
Mine will only do math- and jazzercise.

If I ever have kids accidentally or intentionally I will steer them away from downhill. 145 km/h on two planks in a condom suit is just way too dangerous. It is my favorite winter sport though as it's very spectacular to watch.
The same goes for cycling. Way too many crashes.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Saturday 27.Jan 12:42, 2018
I know this is said before, but Innerhofer is just crazy

If you are Alpine skier and thought you were home safe after Kitz.... woooops... here comes Garnish :D

goon1221 [BMC] Friday 26.Jan 13:20, 2018

But I agree ... not easy to see what's right ... on the result page, it looks like It's just a SC, but on the calender page, it looks like both SG and SC ....

goon1221 [BMC] Friday 26.Jan 12:50, 2018
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Okey ... but for me it looks like both SG and the SC is announced as replacement races ... if thats the case, both count in wc ... seen it before :))

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Friday 26.Jan 12:45, 2018
For me it doesn't looks like the SG counts today. It was also run in Val d'Isere if I'm not wrong.

goon1221 [BMC] Friday 26.Jan 12:19, 2018
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Meaning.. both SG and SC counting today ... a replacement from the cancelled races in st.Motitz

goon1221 [BMC] Friday 26.Jan 12:13, 2018
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Looks like we miss a SG on our calender guys ...

Interesting to follow Ragnhild Mowinckel these days .... yesterday she showed how good she really is ... 3/100 behind Rebensburg with a pretty significant mistake in the last steep hill says it all ... never the less, she was second, her best result ever in wc ... and she jumped into the top 7 group in GS ..... In Cortina d'Ampezzo she had podium speed in all races ... small mistakes kept her slightly behind and ended up 6 6 in the downhills and 8th in the SG ... in the SG she had a winning speed through most of the course .... this girl is on fire these days
This weekend we got super combine and giant slalom in Lenzerheide .... both great events for Mowinckel... let's see if she can keep it up and do another podium ... or even her first wc win :)))

goon1221 [BMC] Friday 19.Jan 13:56, 2018
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Said it before, but can't be said too often ... if you put the rawes sports mind in the world on raw fhysics.... you get Aksel Lund Svindal :)))

goon1221 [BMC] Wednesday 3.Jan 20:57, 2018
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
It does, but I doubt she will beat that record ... but 2000 ++ is way within reach for her :)))

Tomas [Second Coming] Wednesday 3.Jan 20:37, 2018
Gives me flashbacks to Tina Maze and her 2414 pts season back in 2012/13.

goon1221 [BMC] Wednesday 3.Jan 20:30, 2018
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
To put things in perspective ... Mikaela Shiffrin got 1081 points already this season ... she won the overall with 1643 last year ....

goon1221 [BMC] Monday 18.Dec 19:50, 2017
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
And what's up with Henrik Kristoffersen and second places this season ... his 5th in the city event today :D .... great improvement though ... he usaly drops out in first round... congratz to Olsson with his firat wc win ... well done :)))

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 16.Dec 12:53, 2017
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Svindal by the way :D ... WOW . .. superman !!

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 16.Dec 12:17, 2017
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Mowinckel 3rd today .... first podium .... congratulations to her .... and to Vonn .... great win considering her horrible crash a couple of weeks ago.... I thought her season was over ... but like Svindal, she's a mentally monster :)))

goon1221 [BMC] Monday 4.Dec 10:37, 2017
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Shiffrin can do it all ... that was no surprise, but to win the Lake Louise down hill, was a little over the top :D ... I think she was PRETTY surprised herself...
Hirscher is back ... no surprise there, but nice to see Kristoffersen's second run yesterday ... that was really close to Hirscher....
Congratz to Svimdal ... WOW ... this guy is something else ... if you take the rawest sports mind in the the world and put it on raw physics, you get Aksel Lund Svindal
I get s little annoyed in Aleksander Aamodt Kilde actually .... he is soooo FU..... strong, and got the highest speed of all on the courses, but silly mistakes takes him out of the podium in every race ... when this guy stop doing all these mistakes, he will be a great winner in 3 disciplines....
My last notice was Ted Ligety... I had some expectations to him yesterday, and he really fulfilled expectations in the first run ... but when Hirscher sat a monster run in second half, he was more or less pushed out of the course ..... too bad, but I hope he will be one to watch out for in Val d'Isere and Alta Badia coming up :)))

Nope, as Tina Weirather prevented that win.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Saturday 2.Dec 23:33, 2017
And the SG win is coming tomorrow to join the club of those who has won all disciplines.

shiffrin now also winning downhill competitions :O

Tomas [Second Coming] Saturday 11.Nov 17:38, 2017
We clicked/checked all Austrian female alpine athletes in the game - dont brag about having any idea of who she is.

Andy [Luxembourg Finest] Saturday 11.Nov 17:11, 2017
Wonder who told you she could do well this season.

Tomas [Second Coming] Saturday 11.Nov 17:01, 2017
I have Elisabeth Kappaurer priced at 30 in my draft team.

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 11.Nov 16:55, 2017
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Maybe only Vlhova .... she's a pretty good GSL as well, and way cheaper than Shiffrin .... Holdener is more of a pure slalom specialist even though she is a decent downhill/SG racer and therefore one of the best in the Alpine combination ... we'll see ... need to do some math before i deside :D

Tomas [Second Coming] Saturday 11.Nov 16:22, 2017
Wonder how many of them you’ll find a place for in your fantasy team.

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 11.Nov 14:00, 2017
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
Wow ... Vlhova .... Shiffrin WILL get her hands full this season .... oh my god ... she race like a man :D ... and podium Vlhova, Shiffrin and Holdner lookes like a regular thing this season ... nobody else even close to those 3 girls .....

Okey ... my suggestion to this new game

I accept the steep budget

8 changes per transition window ... to show that you got controll over preparation to important parts of the season, like 4 hill tournement, tour de Ski, Olympics and the finals and wc standings in the end of it ... you don't need to use all of course, but to have room for recovering in the gc in case you miss big time with your first setup, injuries and so on ...

window 1 before new year
window 2 before the olympics and
window 3 after the Olympics

Then we can have a Captain spot and two Vice-captain spots ( like the FC game ) for each weekend to show that you got controll over the different disciplines and distances, and to create a lasting dynamics through the season ... this might require some sort of programing to the game i guess

I think this budget makes this game nerdy enogh in it selfes, so the weekend to weekend activety won't make much difference participate-vice

The "PROBLEM" for the weekend to weekend activety is biathlon and partly alpine skiing ... biathlon got long weekends from wednesday to sunday, and alpine got midweek races .... but I bet we can find a smart practical solution to that :)))

Yeah, budget is a bit tight, but interesting. I like the concept. No chance of forgetting Thursday deadlines, like last season.

No surprise who my team captains will be. :P

Tomas [Second Coming] Saturday 4.Nov 15:20, 2017
It?s time to alter it. Think the budget is fine. Thinking about letting teams having 20 changes whenever you want (kicks in, lets say next monday night at 23.59).

goon1221 [BMC] Saturday 4.Nov 12:15, 2017
9th FC-manager overall - 10th FC-manager last 6 weeks
I guess it's like a like a Curse in the church :D

I think this budjet is WAY too nerdy. ... and that combined with only 4 changes per 3 transition windows, you really need to sit down and bery your brain in result lists, calander and wc standings ....

I suggest a budjet 1200 and 15 changes per Windows ..... or at least something inbetween :)))

Tomas [Second Coming] Saturday 4.Nov 09:48, 2017
@Viktor; I think this i gonna be good :)

:D .... well, the women will race today .... in the exact same pathways as the guys ..... that never happens in world cup exept here ... and while the guys think it's a pretty steep and difficult course, the women find it even wors ( sorry Lindsey https://www.google.no/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/early-lead/wp/2017/10/26/lindsey-vonn-says-women-seen-as-pony-show-in-world-cup-skiing/ ) .... and when it's the first race of the season, it's a BRUTAL start for the women .... my favourite of the day is without doubt Mikaela Shiffrin ... ahead of Tessa Worley and Lara Gut .... biggest outsider must be this REALLY tough Italian girl Sofia Goggia .... I hope the norwegian girs can show a little more currage than they usaly do on this course ... my best hopes is for Ragnhild Mowinckel to make a top 10 result :))) Nina Løseth is really scared of this icy steep pathways ... so I don't expect much from her .... so now is the time to surprise me :))

Yeah :D .... that i can belive by the looks of your profile picture .... well, a spot is open on the podium in downhill and SG after Ilka Stuhecs injury .... she will be gone all season .....
But then again ... Lindsey Vonn is back better than ever ( she claims ) .... so I guess she will fill that hole :D

I basically only care about the results of Tina Weirather. :-)

The Alpine season is unerway guys .... some questions popes up in my patriotic head ... will Hirscher continue to dominate the over all standing, or will the norwegians finally give him a serious fight for it .... first comes to mind, of course, Aksel Lund Svindal, with the highest potential ... but his injury history sais, that won't happen ... I am sure ALS will win some races early in the season, but I doubt he can keep going throughout, and participate in every race .... he got the Olympics on his mind, and will for sure rest his knee for that, so ALS will not win over all this season

Next norwegian in the hierarchy is Kjetil Jansrud. ... always the guy closest to Hirscher when ALS is injured, but time and time again, he fails .... I think he got a chance of course, but I will be surprised if he can punish Hirscher

Then we got Henrik Kristoffersen. ... his fantastic technique has brought him an insane amont of success in young age. Kristoffersen is back in on the national team after a couple of years arguing with the norwegian ski association about his right carry sponsors brand on his equipment ....
From what i seen of this guy lately, he looks like a guy enjoing his time in the gym, and has gain some muscle mass .... it will be interesting to see how that will affect his technique in slalom, and if it will improve his giant slalom ... Kristoffersen is a candidate for the overall standings if he has kept his unique technique in slalom, and improved his giant slalom

4th option is Aleksander Aamodt Kilde .... and this is actually imo, Hirschers worst competitor for the overall this season .... together with Alexis Pinturault and an on form Carlo Janka, this sports most versatile athlet. ... He can downhill, he can SG, he can giant Slalom and alpine combine ... podium and winning candidate in all exept giant slalom ... he is the strongest guy in the sport, great technique and now, after some years on top level, experiment and knows all the courses on the tour ... if he can stabilize a little bit, he can win the overall trophy this season ..... actually, I put my money on him :)))
